Every business needs a website these days – the public expects it.
You may, however, be frustrated by your options! Many small businesses don’t need or want to pay thousands of dollars for a custom built site, which requires an expensive (and busy) webmaster to keep it current. Companies that sell hosting packages with “ready-to-go” templates are relatively expensive, limit how you can organize and brand your site, and often charge additional fees for adding basic features. Free sites aren’t really free: they either limit the people you can connect with, limit how you design your site, or make you advertise their products. And ultimately you are investing your creative energy into building some other businesses’ internet real estate.
My service provides you with an easy and affordable website that is customized to your business and brand. My mission is to empower people to get their message, product or service out to the world where it can make a difference.
I charge $45 an hour, so you can get as much or as a little as you need for your situation. (In most cases, I can build an elegant and functional site with about five pages of content for less than $250.) I can teach you how to easily make blog posts, change pricing or specials, or other do other small changes that you need to make frequently to your site. I will set you up a with a great, inexpensive webhosting company (less than $10 a month!) and I can show you how to use email marketing on your site to build a contact list.
My Education & Expertise
I have a B.A. in Studio Art and Spanish from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and a Master’s Degree in Education from Montana State University-Billings. I first learned basic HTML and Microsoft Frontpage in 1998 through a technology workshop at the school district in Arizona where I taught English as a Second Language. In 2011, I took a course on how to build a business website using WordPress. I have created and maintained business websites since 2001.
